The villagers were scared by the growling sound of the tiger. Since, people know that the tiger is an innate killer and hunter and it can attack them if it is hungry or angry. Besides, the village was situated in the nearby the forest so he struggled around the village. His long white fangs, stout face, horrific claws, sight of waggling it's tail were enough to terrify the villagers.
