How does the water kept in the earthen pot (Matka) becomes cool during summer?

it is because there are tiny pores in the earthen pots from where water comes out and evaporate and evaporation cause cooling so it kept cool

it doesn't let hot air come into it as the walls are made of Matti (soil) it realise more heat than it absorb. please mark it as brainlist
