Time seems to gnaw an English gravestone with wonderful appetite as the gravestone had become worn.
When it was new, it had no broken or chipped edges and was well polished. As time passed, it lost its polish and got worn out due to the harsh wind. It slowly became weak and lots of its edges got chipped and it's shape was lost.
Time slowly wore out the gravestone and made it lose its original appearance. It looks quite dull and old and is a shadow of its former self.
