How does tooth enamel damage due to the eating of sweets?How can we prevent the decay?

Bacteria present in the mouth produce acids by degradation of sugar and food particles remainig in the mouth after eating. Due to this, the enamel gets corroded.

Using toothpastes which r generally basic as they can nuetralise the excess acid prevent tooth decay

the bacterias present in the mouth feeds on the food sticked on the tooth. they release acid after digesting the sticked food on the tooth.
