this is your brainlisst answer
Topography means the nature of land. It has a great impact on the growth of settlements. Mostly people will try to settle in river valleys where the land is fertileand the water is easily available. In pains it is easy to develop the different means of transport which faciliate the movement of people from one place to another. In mountainous areas the growth of settlements is restricted because of rugged terrain and lack of transportation and communication. thanks

people settle near fords in rivers, and in places where farming is easy, and in places where fishing is possible

they do not settle on glaciers, in the deepest forest, where there is no water, or where there is no hope for protection/defense
