Generally transplanting is done when the value of crop is better than the labour cost spent on transpanting
it ha following advantages over sowing
1 less water and management cost as only 5 cents land needed for say 1 acre of paddy
2 the final planting spacing is structured as needed. So we can use machine for weeding and root growth
3 we can start seeding the land before main land is ready
4. Less seed is needed.
DISADVANTAGE
it takes 3–5 days after transplant for rooms to take hold.

It extenda the growing season by starting plant indoors before outdoor condition are favourable it protect young plant from disease and pests until they are sufficient established 3 it avoid germination problem by setting out seedlings instead of direct seeding
