Truman points out the difference of a country that follows democracy and a country that follows totalitarianism.
There are many similarities between a democratic country and a totalitarian country except few that decide which is democratic an which is totalitarian.
In totalitarianism, the government runs under a leader who is not accountable.
- The decision of the ruler will be always final.
- There will be less freedom given for the people.
- The ruler will impose harsh laws over his people.
In Democracy, the rulers are always accountable. People have the rights and power to decide what is good for them and what is bad.
