TURMERIC ONLY REPRODUCES VIA ITS RHIZOMES,A SORT OF UNDER GROUND STEM.A RHIZOME GROWS OUT FROM ITS BASE BENEATH THE SURFACE OF THE SOIL.IT MOVES PARALLEL TO THE SOIL FOR SEVERAL INCHES.FROM THIS STEM SPROUTS NEW ROOTS AND ANOTHER PLANT GROWS UP SENDING UP A BASE SHOOT.
