how does water get cooled in an earthen pot

In an earthen potwater gets evaporated quickly through the pores. Cooling is caused by evaporation. Some heat energy is utilised during the process of evaporation. Since this energy is taken from the water itself, it leads to a lowering of temperature in the remaining amount of water

As we know evaporation cause cooling. So, in an earthen pot there are small pores present and half water kept in the earthen pot gets slowly evaporates taking the heat from the earthen pot and evaporates leaving the water cools.
