Yeast reproduces by the process of budding. 

Yeast is a single-celled organism. It reproduces by sending out a small out-growth from the cell, called a bud which grows and eventually separates from the parent cell. The nucleus of the parent cell divides into two and one is sent into the bud.

Yeasts reproduce asexually by a process called budding (see Figure 8.2. 1 and Figure 8.2. 6). A bud is formed on the outer surface of the parent cell as the nucleus divides.
