My perception change about my career by the following statement:-

1:- Accuse the person of being wrong about you. Their perception is their perception, and it's up to you to help “correct” it.

2:- Avoid working with the person. The more you're in front of them, the better.

3:- Expect people to change their minds on a dime. Shifting someone's perception often takes time.
