Hydropower plants capture the energy of falling water to generate electricity. A turbine converts the kinetic energy of falling water into mechanical energy. Then a generator converts the mechanical energy from the turbine into electrical energy.

electricity is generated here with the help of steam ....which is generated br boiling the water to maxmimum temperature and making a preassured steam.....furtherd that steam is taken towards the turbine and turbine is rotated to genarate electricty
