in simple words.the maglev train works on the principle of attraction and repulsion of magnet.
there are several powerful electromagnets beneath in the bottom side of train and another set of electromagnetic coils on each side of train work as an track for the train and beneath the track which with opposite poles on the train and track which make the train lift from the ground and friction less.and afterwards for the movement of the train the electromagnets are turned on with different poles simultaneously which pushes the train away then another pole attracts the train and this happens continuously in a fixed time which result in movement of the train .

Explanation:
It is the interaction between the magnetic field created by electromagnets at the bottom of the train and the magnetic field resulting from the arrangement of rails that the train raises a little above and move forward fast. since no contact is there between the train and the rails there exists no friction.
