First let’s start with terminology. C2H2 is not Ethylene, it is Acetylene.

now for calculation: water mol. mass is 18; C2H2 mol mass is 30

CaC2(s) + 2H2O(l) → C2H2(g) + Ca(OH) 2(s)

2 mols of water will yield one mol of Acetylene, hence 36g water gives 30g Acetylene, so 6g water will give 5g Ac.

now volume: 30g Ac. take a volume of 22.4 liters (at std. temp & Press.).

5g —-> (22.4/30)*5, or 22.4/6 liters (get you calculator out)
