Promise her that some day when she feels ready, you and your family would like to talk to her about your memories. You can meet at her home and bring some refreshments. This will be a time to share some photos and even some humorous stories.
This is the way I would handle this and it may be different from your ideas. You and your mom and grandmother may decide to do things very differently and that is fine. I am so sorry about your loss. My sincerest sympathies to all of you and I do hope everything works out for the best.
