In a sense, the treaty of Versailles stirred a hornet’s nest.

  1. The treaty of Versailles was a harsh and humiliating peace. Under it, Germany had to suffer from many losses.
  2. The Allied Powers took 13% of the territories of Germany and 10% of it's population.
  3. It lost all of it's overseas colonies. 75% of the iron and 26% of coal to the France, the Poland, and other countries.
  4. It was demilitarized.
  5. Under it, resource rich Rhineland was occupied.

Thus, this made the Germans in a state of anger. They wanted to retaliate. The Rise of Hitler took place. Herr Hitler made promises about the future of the youths, etc. and other steps. Ultimately, he became the "Racist" dictator of Germany.
