"Since, Geographical activities consists of topographical areas such as urban, economic, cultural, political, social, population, and many others including the list of anatomical parts.  

So, they were named after the human organs or other activity.

Example:

The reason for spread of cholera disease is found out by a street map which shows death per household in a street. So, this map is named as Cholera Map."
