The simple answer is through food chain.

See now these harmful chemicals can enter the food chain in several trophic level. The major is being in the first trophic level. I hope you understand what is food chain and trophic levels.

So these chemicals enter the roots of the plants by the soil. Once this enter the plant they get accumulated in the plants and fruits. Those plants and fruits are consumed directly by us or by the herbivorous animals and then by carnivores …!!! Well you know food chain. So ultimately it undergo bio-magnification and reaches the human body in maximum concentration.

Entering our body, there is many ways

Like direct or Indirect

Direct,

If harmful chemicals are in the form of gas like CO(carbon monoxide), etc

They enter our body by NOSE

And U know that cigarettes gas,When it enters it creates 4000 chemicals in our body

Indirect:

By eating food,In some food like Maggi,Chips ,there are also some chemicals and When we eat more,It harms our body

And also in Apple seeds ,there are very poisonous chemicals like cyanide

But don't worry if you eat more than 150 seeds then your body will affect

In industries areas,There are many harmful chemicals present in both land and atmosphere

They enter our body and affects us severely

In Nuclear Power plant area,There are many Radiation present which can affect us

Then some dangerous trees has Harmful chemicals,if we touch there leaves or Eat there food then they affect us severely
