Answer:

A: 1. Over-use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides resulted in Loss of soil fertility.

2. The transition from traditional agriculture in which inputs were generated on farm to Green Revolution agriculture which required the purchase of inputs, led to the widespread established of rural credit institutions.

-> Smaller farmers often went into dept trap, which in many cases resulted in a loss of their farmlands.

3. The pests gained resistance power and hence the farmers have to go for more powerful pesticides and more disease resistant seeds. This has become unbearable investment on agriculture.

So, thought green revolution resulted in short term grains, farmers were at loss in long run.
