The population growth has been favoured by social and cultural customs ,people usually produce more children. People believe that a family becomes stronger if it has many members . Because of the early marriage females have more chances to produce children. It increases the population.

Increase in trade deficit, artificial price hike of customer goods including land and house, further increased the dependency on remittances, low level use of available natural resources including land cultivation and investment on unproductive sectors are perceived negative impacts in economic sectors due to people migrate.

Traditionally Nepalese society favors high fertility. Children are a symbol of well-being both socially and economically. Although fertility has been decreasing in Nepal since 1981, it is still high compared to many other developing countries. This paper is an attempt to examine the demographic, socio-economic, and cultural factors for fertility differentials in Nepal.
