Belgium government recognised that there were two communities in the country. So to give a peaceful accomodation and equality in the government, Belgium government has taken few measures to improvise their policies.

1. They amended their law for four times between 1933 to 1971 to fulfill both the communities needs.

2. Equal number of leaders in the central government from both the communities.

3. Some powers of the Central Government was given to the state government.

4. Equal representatives in the Central government. If there is to be a change in government, both the communities have to approve that policies, so that they can maintain their equality in the country.

5. Apart from the central and state government, a separate government was formed to do the needs of the people of both the communities.

In Srilanka, Sinhalas were holding the majority and was happily doing majoritarianism.

They wanted to eradicate the Tamils from the country.

So they implemented some policies and practices which the Tamils don't like.

These practices done by the Sinhalas led to a Civil War between Tamils and sinhalas.

1000s of people died from both the communities.

Srilanka drastically went down in their economics.
