evolution is the changes in inherited traits of a population from generation to generation. mutation in these genes can produce new and altered traits ,resulting in hereditary changes in organisms. Heredity is the process of passing of traits from one generation to the next generation.

Hey!!! Here is the answer to the question.
1.Hereditary character are transmitted from parental generation to the offspring .
2.These characters are maintained through the inheritance.
3.Genes which are beneficial for organisims in helping them to adapt to environment are transmitted to the next generation in a greater proportion.
4.Process of evolution is at a very slow pace.
5.Hence in this way we can say that Hereditary changes are responsible for evolution.
