The Himalayan range affects the climate of India by blocking the cold, arctic winds blowing south from Siberia and Central Asia, thus keeping the Indian subcontinent much warmer than corresponding temperate regions in other continents.
2. The Himalayas form a natural barrier that prevents monsoon winds from going further north.

3. The Himalayas also had a role to play in the formation of Central Asian deserts such as the Gobi.

The Himalayas do the following
•they block cold winds from Siberia otherwise India would have had snow fall in the northern part
Delhi is in the same latitude as a place in N.A but they have snowfall and Delhi is among the hottest place in India
Himalayas cause orographic rainfall by blocking monsoon winds in Northern part.
Hope this helps
