No it is helpful in our day to day life but it let us know that what mistakes did our ancestors did and not make the mistake again, great workof our ancestors

for example :-
1. we can see that there are many war happens in the ancient times so we can be careful in this at now by which it will be not be repeated again.
2. we can discuss the women's rights in ancient times and present time and we will easily know what's good or bad.
