The incident referred to here is Mrs .packletide killing the innocent goat ( the bait) instead of the tiger who was the real target .

It would amuse everyone as all would come to know how bad miss Packletide is at hunting and therefore all would make fun of her along with her arch rival , Loona bimberton .
