Humans are dependent on plants for their survival like :-

Usually plants are autotrophs which make their own food by light energy from sun where as humans are heterotrophs in which they cannot prepare their own food and depend on autotrophs like plants. Requirement of oxygen,air to live,wood for the shelter and parts of the plants can be useful like medicines and eaten food. In this way we depend on plants.
