How hydraulic lift act as a force multiplier 1?

It is equal to the force on piston 1, multiplied by A2/A1. Hydraulic systems are called force multipliers for exactly this reason. A small force can be increased by using hydraulics. The amount by which it is multiplied depends only on the ratio of the areas of the two pistons.
