Triangle ABC is right angled triangle (given)

also given that
BC =8 cm
AC =16cm

triangle BDC is equilateral triangle.


now solution,

area of triangle ABC is
=1/2(BC×AC)
=1/2(8×16)
=64 cm square

area of equilateral triangle BCD
=√3/4 × (BC square)
=√3/4 ×(8×8)
=√3 × (16)
=27.71 cm square

we need are of triangle ABD,

Area of ∆ADB=Area of ∆ABC - Area of ∆BCD
=64 - 27.71
=36.29 cm square.........answer

so area of shaded area is 36.29 cm square.
