how image formed by a plane mirror

a plane mirror forms. virtual erect and laterally inverted Image . when rays of light reach to it it reflects them back but the do not intersect at any point but they geometrically appear to meet backwards where image is formed

HI !

Plane mirror always produces virtual image.
Also,the image formed is erect.
The image formed is of the same size that of the object.
The image is laterally inverted(the left side of the object appears to be the right side of the image , and vice versa)
The distance between the image and the mirror = distance between the object and the mirror
