India has a very strategic position in South Asia because:-
1. India has comparatively the longest coast line thats why Indian Ocean is named after it.
2. India has a rich biodiversity in flora and fauna.
3. Our country is very well connected with other countries both through airways and waterways.
3. The Indian ocean routes which connect the countries of Europe and other popular places provide a strategic central location in India.
4. As the oil countries of Persian Gulf are not very far from India . So we receive bulk of oil supplies from being at the head of Indian Ocean.
