Camel adapts to the desert conditions in the following ways

  • Camel has a large hump to store food for a long time
  • it also have big eyelashes to protect from sand dust in desert
  • Large feet to walk easily in sand without sinking in
  • Thin nostrils to avoid sand going inside
  • Thick fur to keep away from sun
  • Knees covered with leather to avert burning of sun while kneeling down
