DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACCELERATION AND SPEED :

i)Acceleration is the the rate of change of speed.

Speed is the distance travelled per unit time .

ii) SI unit of acceleration is metre per second square.

SI unit of speed is metre per second .

iii)Acceleration is a vector quantity

Speed is a scalar quantity.

iv) Acceleration can be negative but

Speed can never be negative .
