Asphalt, also called bitumen, can be a naturally occurring product or it can be refined from crude oil. In nature, asphalt can be found in places like the La Brea Tarpits in Los Angeles or Pitch Lake in Trinidad; it is a very sticky, nearly solid form of petroleum.

Hope it helped

Answer :-

Asphalt is produced from dried, asphalt cement and crushed rock which is a combination of petroleum compounds that consists of sand, crushed stone or gravel. Before the application, asphalt epoxy resin is heated and mixed with crushed rock. Afterwards, it will be combined and loaded instantly onto trucks (at roughly 320 degrees Fahrenheit) to transport it on storage silos or construction sites.

Sometimes, this murky and weighty mineral substance which is a mixture of hydrocarbons is referred to as bitumen. This material is so durable that it could resist both extreme weather and dangerous chemicals. Isn’t that awesome? In addition to that, it’s also cost-efficient unlike other substance used for paving roads.
