How is blood test is useful to diagnose the disease.Explain with daily life situation

the disease causing germs attack in bloods white blood cells. so if you get high fever doctor prefers to take blood test and in diagnoses we come to know if the fever is normal or harmful i.e. whether it us malaria fever or not.
