oxygen from atmosphere will move to pharynx and to lungs and to alviolus and to blood capillaries as oxyheamoglobin and goes for oxidation process.
carbon dioxide from oxidation process returns back to alviolus as bicarbonates and returns to pharynx and from there move to atmosphere again.

ANSWER :
The blood helps in the transportation of oxygen and carbon-dioxide in humans.
The R.B.Cs have a large surface area which helps them to absorb oxygen and carbon - dioxide on their surface ,
The R.B.Cs have haemoglobin in their surface.
This particularly forms oxy-haemoglobin with oxygen and carbamino-haemoglobin with carbon-dioxide .
This breaks up to give oxygen in the tissues and it transports carbon-dioxide from tissues to lungs.
This way they are transported throughout the body !
