It is usually stoed in air tight/sealed containers because the naturally existing Carbon dioxide in air decomposes chloride of lime forming Chlorine gas andCalcium Cabonate.

Answer: Chloide of lime also called Calcium hypochlorite Ca(OCl)2 is alkaline of the ionic form Ca2+ & 2 ClO- , its nature being alkaline,used as a bleaching agent and Calcium chloride is CaCl2 is neutral (salt) of the ionic form Ca2+ & 2Cl-,used as a dessicant to absorb moisture.
