rusting means loss of iron layer by layer on reaction with air water etc.A brown coloured layer of iron (|||) oxide is formed over iron when it rusts

corrosion is loss o metal layer by layer on reaction with moist gases, water etc.

4Fe + 3O2 + xH2O ➡ 2Fe2O3.xH2O

silver reacts with hydrogen sulphide in air and forms a black coating of silver sulphide.

2Ag +H2S➡Ag2S +H2

hope it helps you.
