Answer:

Explanation:

Covid-19 is a disease which had such a devastating

effect that within few months whole world was in

lockdown. It came with numerous negative effect but

actually it is the mirror which shows us the harsh reality

of present time i.e. how we are exploiting the nature; or

how we are using science and technology in making

destructive things in name of saving ourselves, our

freedom and our country. This global pandemic taught us

how fragile is our health infrastructure for such epidemic.

Bills and Malinda Gates Foundation, Johns Hopkins Centre

for Health Security and World Economic Forum

conducted a survey on how government was prepared for

such epidemic and the result was every country was

woefully prepared for such situation. All nations spend

their money on its defense but none had spent on their

health infrastructure.

This pandemic taught us that by sacrificing our little

freedom we can actually save our nature; nowadays by

staying inside we might be getting bored but in real we

are saving our nation from losing its human resource. This

also taught, how to be content when we are alone and

with basic necessities for life; and also it taught us about

the importance of friends and family in life for whom we

were not having time earlier; and it taught about general

hygiene that we forget in this fast pace of life.

Because of this pandemic there must be decrease of job

opportunities but at the same there are many

opportunities building up like work related to online

platform. After this most people should start work from

home system this would help us in many ways and online

classes should set up so that children irrespective of their

economic status they can get education. For all this

internet is must and therefore internet should become our

basic right.

One of the best thing happened in this period is filling of

hole in the Ozone layer and cleaning of river Ganga for

this many scientists have worked hard but there was no

favorable outcome. It showed that if we give nature

sufficient time to retreat without any interference then

nature would heal itself. For now on we must not pollute

nature. One way is working from home mentioned earlier

that it can help in controlling pollution.

Covid-19 has affected many science, space and

technology institutions and government agencies

worldwide leading to reduce in productivity but in coming

months these institution have main role in getting over

the loses happened in this period.

The main role of science and technology at present is to

find vaccine of this deadly disease and each and every

research group is trying their best to find vaccine as soon

as possible. If vaccine is not being ready then it is not

fault of scientists because after coming of this virus and

within few days and with negligible number of cases they

were able to tell its causes and its preventions.

Technology helped in easily detection of infection in

humans and in curing them example plasma therapy.

But vaccine is not the complete solution for such problem

in future, we need some technologies that can provide

social distancing because there are only few who can

work from home but many people cannot work from

home such as homeworkers, construction worker etc.

Recently UN DESA (United Nations Department of Economic

and Social Affairs) said that science and technology at

present has a lot of room for improvement for resolving

challenges at global level such as this and there should a

collaborative relations between the policy makers and

scientists and fruits should be shared universally; and

government must act with urgency on global scientific

assessment.

The reality is harsh but it is truth. This pandemic came with

negativity but it taught many things that was being

forgotten in the last few years. This is a lesson for every

person and the future generations of mankind. It also

showed the real role of science and technology that is to

help mankind to flourish not to destruct whole world.

Answer:

Explanation:

COVID-19 has governments at all levels operating in a context of radical uncertainty, and faced with difficult trade-offs given the health, economic and social challenges it raises. The regional and local impact of the COVID-19 crisis is highly heterogeneous, with a strong territorial dimension and significant implications for crisis management and policy responses. This paper takes an in-depth look at the health/social, economic, and fiscal impact related to the COVID-19 crisis. It provides good practice examples from all OECD countries and beyond, to help mitigate the territorial effects of the crisis, and offers ten takeaways on managing COVID-19’s territorial impact, its implications for multi-level governance, subnational finance and public investment, as well as points for policy-makers to consider as they build more resilient regions.
