Solution : 

(1) Cyclopentanone: When Cyclopentanone is reduced in the presence of sodium=amalgam and water, cyclopentanol is obtained.

(2) Cyclopentene: When cyclopentene is treated with cold concentrated sulphuric acid, cyclopentyl hydrogen sulphate is formed. Cyclopentene hydrogen sulphate on heating with water gives cyclo-pentanol.
