How is floatation reacted to the density of the object and the liquid?

The density of a material is equal to its mass divided by the volumeit occupies. An object will float if its density is less than thedensity of the liquid it is placed into. A force called upthrust acts on all objects placed in a liquid. This force is due to the pressure in the liquid.
