Answer:

Through the process of cellular respiration, the energy in food is converted into energy that can be used by the body's cells. During cellular respiration, glucose and oxygen are converted into carbon dioxide and water, and the energy is transferred to ATP.

Answer:

The conversion of food into energy is as follows:

1) in aerobic type of respiration, it occurs in three steps:

a)GLYCOLYSIS

Glycolysis occurs in cytoplasm. Each molecule of glucose in converted into 2 molecules of each pyruvic acid , water, NADH², CO² and ATP

Molecules of pyruvic acid are converted into Acetyl-- Co enzyme A . During this process, 2 molecules of NADH² and two molecules of CO² are released.

2) Tricarboxcylic chain reaction or Krebs cycle
