Food security is badly affected during a calamity. At the time of natural calamities like floods, earthquakes etc food becomes a resource. Most of the people starve at that due to lack of proper resources and facilities. Especially people belonging to lower sections of the society like SC, ST etc also the people who are said to be poorest of the poor are also badly affected. Sometimes people may die due to starvation.
