How is HCl gas collected?

Hey there....!!

Hydrogen Chloride Gas is collected by Upward Displacement Of Air.

Reason => This is because HCl gas is 1.28 times heavier than air.

Why is it not collected over water?
=> This is because it is highly soluble in water.

Hydrogen chloride dissolves in water to form hydrochloric acid...a strong acid with pH of 1.5.Hydrogen chloride gas will put out a lot splint......be collected by downward delivery or by using a gas syringe....
