The answer is sometimes. You are correct that the two lines may not be distinct and therefore “intersect” in infinite points, but there’s also the possibility that the two lines are distinct from each other, but are parallel, and thus would never intersect at all. It is only in some cases where two lines will intersect at exactly one poin
