(i) Systoloc Blood pressure :- Ot is the pressure exerted by the blood on the wall of blood vessel during period of maximum ventricular systolic contraction. In a normal rsting adult man, it is about 120 mm Hg.

(ii) Diastolic Blood Pressure :- It is the pressure exerted by the blood on the wall of blood vessel during the period of maximum ventricular diastolic relaxation. In a normal adulting man, it is about 80 mm Hg.
