First of all if you want protected lungs avoid smoking by all means because the smoking decrease fresh oxygen to to the hungs which causes the heart to beat much faster to keep up with the oxygen supply, and you should eat healthy foods such as vegetables, and fruits. Eat less fatty meats such as pork, steaks,, and bacon.  Eat lean meats such as lamb chops, fish, and coiled chicken, and with chicken it is best to remove the skin first before boiling it the skin contains a lot of unhealthy fat.  Eat kidney beans they are very healthy for the heart and lungs they contain a good amount of natural protein. Carrots are a very good source in vitamin e which is needed by the heart and lungs to operate well.
