nelsen cell is a cell .. in which .na + converted into na and cl- converted into cl...
here following reaction take place .
at anode ..
cl- = cl + e-

cathode ..
na+ + e-= na

\huge \sf\orange{Answer :-} Sodium chloride is formed by ionic bonding(bond formed by the transfer of electrons).

=> Sodium looses one electron from its outer most shell to complete its octet.

=> This electron loosed by sodium is accepted by chlorine being an acceptor of electron i.e,it gains electron to complete its octet.

=> Thus the formation of ions Na+ and Cl- takes place and being opposite charges they get attracted towards each other by electrostatic force.

Thus formation of NaCl takes place. Here is the electron dot-structure.
