How is magnesium chloride formed by the transfer of electrons? Why does the solution of magnesium chloride conduct electricity? Braily?

Now, as positive and negative attract vigorously, the two elements combine (one magnesium atom and twochlorine atoms) to form the compoundmagnesium chloride, that is MgCl2. This is an ionic bond formed by the donation and acceptance of electrons, and each of the atoms have charges.
When nacl mixed with water it breaks into na+ cl- ions which conducts electricit but solid nacl has no free mobile ions

Hello...

In this process, Magnesium is an Electron Donator and chlorine act as electron receiver. Magnesium has to lose its two Electrons and chlorine has to gain one electron to achieve their complete Octate. Then ionic Bond formation takes place between Mg and Cl ions which gives Magnesium chloride as Resulting Compound.

Why Magnesium chloride conduct electricity :

Magnesium chloride is an ionic Compound. Magnesium chloride release ions in the solution which actually conduct electricity.

Hope it helped.
