With increase in temperature due to thermal expansion the volume of the metallic piece increases while the density decreases and the mass remains same.

Answer:

Density- with an increase in the temperature, the density of the metallic piece affected decreases as the Volume increases thus density decreases.

Volume - with an increase in the temperature, the volumes increases. Due to volumetric expansion the Volume of metallic piece will increase on increasing temperature.

ΔV = Vo β ΔT,where the change in volume (ΔV) is equal to the initial volume (Vo) multiplied by the coefficient of volume expansion, β, and by the temperature increase.
