Firstly Evaporation is a surface phenomena butmelting is a bulk phenomena a material melts at its meltingpoint but can evaporates at any temprature. In meltingconversion from solid to liquid takes place but inevaporation liquid to gas state conversion takes place. A substance melts at same temprature as it freezes.
